Messy Mondays ~ My "Desk"

So, this is my desk.  It also occasionally serves as a dining table.  But more often than not, it's a puzzle work place, game table, school zone, craft table, and artist workstation.

I can sit here at the head of the table and work on the computer while my two younger kids work on school.   I'm readily available for questions or a quick internet search on the topic at hand.

This is usually a good thing, but having the computer always open in such a central location can be too much of a temptation to blog, facebook, etc. when I really should be doing something else.  Too often, I give in to temptation and before I know it, 2 hours have slipped away.

Anyway, the table usually looks something like the above photo, taken this afternoon.  Here's a run down on what I've got going all over my desk:

~watercolor supplies for painting I worked on Sunday (had not done any painting since Christmas)
~grocery/meal planning
~summer camp medical forms to fill out (x4)
~gym membership forms & schedule (just joined today, too hot to exercise outside)
~budget updating (figuring out how to pay for those groceries, summer camps, & gym membership!)
~my Bible

on the kids' side

~1000 piece Charlie Brown puzzle
~Scattergories Jr. Game
~Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the red one
~my youngest's devotional book (sporadically completed)

That is a pretty good sampling of what is usually found on my desk.  Yes, it's a mess, but it's OUR mess.

~Allison
